Swaroop Meloth is studying in the Master of Renewable Energy Systems degree course. He chose this Master’s course because he wants to work in a meaningful industry and be an active part of the global energy transition and the achievement of net-zero carbon emission goals.
What Swaroop likes about his studies that is that they are in an important and highly necessary field. His current plan after graduation is to work in Germany for a few years and be part of Germany’s energy-transition era. He would like to be part of an organisation or company where he can be happy and relaxed and can learn and grow.
As a child, Swaroop always wanted to become a footballer. He was also interested in the environment, which is why he chose this Master’s degree course. He receives support from his family, who he says back his decisions without reservation. He credits them as the main reason for his previous success.
The Deutschlandstipendium will help him finance his studies, especially after the money paid into a blocked account has been used up. It will give him an extra financial cushion so that he can focus on his studies and the project he is working on.
Swaroop moved to Hamburg because HAW Hamburg has a good reputation and he found the course interesting. He also says that Hamburg is a nice city and a major renewable energy hub in Europe. Alongside his studies, Swaroop works part-time as a research assistant in a project at HAW Hamburg. He also plays football in his free time. His short-term goal for this year is to complete all the subject credits and find an interesting internship in a renewable energy company, preferably in the solar industry.
