X-Energy Projekt

Die Projektpartnerschaft X-Energy unterstützt die Transformation des Stromsystems in einem technologieoffenen Wechsel von einem lastgeführten zu einem überwiegend erzeugungsgeführten, flexiblen Stromsystem.

Ziel ist es, in der Metropolregion Hamburg ein führendes Innovationszentrum für Windenergie, Systemintegration und Speicher aufzubauen. Als interdisziplinäre Projektinitiative wird zudem die Sichtbarkeit der HAW Hamburg erhöht und ihr Forschungs- und Innovationsprofil gestärkt.

Entstanden ist ein Netzwerk aus 16 regionalen und überregionalen Unternehmenspartnern, die in 13 Teilprojekten einen erfolgreichen Wissenstransfer fördern und die Markteinführung innovativer Produkte und Dienstleistungen sicherstellen.

Die interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit von 17 Professorinnen und Professoren aller Fakultäten schafft wertvolle und neuartige Synergieeffekte im Themenfeld der Erneuerbaren Energien.

Das Projektvolumen umfasst 7,2 Mio.€ mit einem Förderungsanteil von Seiten des BMBF in Höhe von 6 Mio. €.
