We are very excited that you have decided to embark on an international experience!
Unfortunately, spots for study abroad semesters are limited, which is why we have to make a selection each year. We are currently able to fund Erasmus+ internships, but unfortunately, we cannot support staff exchanges, excursions, or summer schools. More information about programs, application deadlines, and the application process can be found here:

General Questions about studying abroad?
If you're planning a study abroad semester as a HAW student, the first thing you should do is join our MS Teams group: DMI_International_Outgoings | Allgemein | Microsoft Teams. There, you'll receive regular updates and current information, such as about events, programs, partner universities, recognition documents, process timelines, deadlines, and more. Moodle is no longer active for this purpose. We also strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the International Office website: HAW-Hamburg: Studying abroad. Generally, many questions are answered there. If you have any remaining questions or uncertainties, feel free to contact our Student Exchange Coordinator.
Questions about financing & internships? (Erasmus+)
For questions about scholarships, Erasmus+ mobility grants, and Erasmus+ internships abroad, please contact the central International Office directly: HAW-Hamburg: Scholarships and funding.
Questions about Credit Transfer & Recognition?
The recognition and conversion of academic credits earned abroad falls under the responsibility of the respective departments. Once the partner university gives a final confirmation, this process should be initiated promptly. There is a set procedure, an application template, and specific contact persons for this process. Below, you will find all relevant contacts and documents (via MS Teams).
