Study counseling
Office hours
................................................................................................................................................................................................
Please note that student advisory services are not provided by telephone or email. As I would like to avoid anyone standing in front of a closed door during office hours, I never post office hours in paper form, but always announce both regular office hours and special appointments exclusively here. Therefore, please always check back here before visiting me to see if consultation hours have had to be rescheduled or canceled at short notice.
Consultation hours:
Consultation hours take place during the lecture period on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in room 206 Berliner Tor 13. Registration is not necessary, just come to the office hours.
The general student advisory service (mandatory) will take place on 29.04.2025 between 12:15 and 13:45 in room 110.

Certificate according to § 48 BaföG
................................................................................................................................................................................................
In order to continue receiving benefits under the Federal Training Assistance Act (BaföG) as a student from the 5th semester onwards, it is necessary to prove that you have studied appropriately up to that point, i.e. that you have made an appropriate amount of progress. If the application for benefits is approved, each benefit recipient will be given the relevant information.
The BaföG office therefore requires every beneficiary to provide proof by the end of the 4th semester at the latest that they have provided the “usual” services up to the end of the 4th semester. Alternatively, after three semesters, proof of the usual achievements up to the end of the 3rd semester can be provided.
What are the usual achievements?
At the end of the 4th semester, 88 CP must be proven.
If the proof of performance is already provided at the end of the 3rd semester, the required number of CP is reduced accordingly.
You can download the relevant form (Form 5) from the following link to provide proof to the BaföG office:
